Village razed in the West Bank, two Palestinians killed
Israeli forces demolished the Palestinian village of Khirbet al-Tabban in the occupied West Bank. According to the Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem, 12 families — 70 people in total, including 28 children — were left homeless. Several hours later, two Palestinian teenagers were killed near Ramallah.
Demolition of Khirbet al-Tabban
As The National (UAE) reports, Israeli forces destroyed all homes in Khirbet al-Tabban, agricultural structures, water cisterns and other property over several hours. B’Tselem said this was the 66th Palestinian community that Israel has forcibly displaced since the Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023, which triggered the war in Gaza.
Deaths of two teenagers
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli forces killed two teenagers from the village of al-Mughayyir: 16-year-old Khalil Shehadeh and 19-year-old Omar al-Naasan. The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that this happened during an attack by Israeli settlers on the village, who were accompanied by Israeli troops.

The Israeli army said it was providing security for police officers and a civilian who were trying to retrieve livestock. According to its version, clashes began during the operation, with participants throwing concrete blocks and stones at security forces. The military said it opened fire at people it described as the main instigators in order to eliminate the threat.
Escalating violence
The events occurred amid escalating violence in the West Bank. The publication notes that attacks on Palestinians, as well as on Jewish-Israeli peace activists and journalists, have become more frequent in recent weeks. Israeli President Isaac Herzog told CNN that authorities were making significant efforts to stop the violence, which, he said, was being carried out by young offenders. Last month, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee described some of the recent violence as the actions of “Israeli terrorists.”
