Return from Libya
As reported by The National, in 2007, Nadia Fawzi's father, Fawzi Abuargoub, took his four-year-old daughter, saying that he was taking her to a party near their home in Greater Manchester. Instead, he went to Manchester Airport and bought tickets to Tripoli.
Fawzi spent two years away from her mother, Sarah Taylor. After that, Taylor moved to Libya to seek custody of her daughter. According to the publication, her former husband did not comply with court orders to return the child. In 2008, Taylor was granted full custody, and the following year she was reunited with her daughter.
