NPP in Ghana begins reconciliation among members ahead of 2028 elections — MyJoyOnline
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) branch in the Sunyani East constituency in Ghana has begun reconciliation among members who took part in the 2026 internal constituency leadership elections. The party aims to rebuild its structures and strengthen unity ahead of the 2028 general elections, MyJoyOnline reports.
Meeting of internal election participants
Constituency branch leaders brought together aspirants and candidates who participated in the recent internal elections, as well as some former branch officials. The meeting was devoted to reconciliation, discussing the post-election situation, and renewing commitment to the party.

Participants had the opportunity to raise issues that emerged before and after the elections and discuss ways to overcome internal differences. Following the meeting, they agreed to put disputes behind them and work together to rebuild party structures at the local level.
Preparations for the elections
In a statement signed by the Sunyani East branch communications officer, Sir Gideon Amoa, the leadership reaffirmed its intention to involve all participants in the party process in strengthening the NPP organization. Branch representatives noted that reconciliation is part of broader measures to restore trust among members, strengthen cooperation locally, and prepare for the 2028 elections.
