US poll records record sympathy for Palestinians
In the United States, 38% of registered voters said they sympathize more with Palestinians, while 35% sympathize more with Israelis. Another 27% of respondents expressed no opinion. As Anadolu Agency reports, these results were shown by a Quinnipiac University poll released ahead of the US midterm elections.
Attitudes toward support for Israel
The level of sympathy for Palestinians was the highest since Quinnipiac University began asking this question in December 2001. At the same time, the share of those who sympathize with Israelis fell to its lowest level over that period.
Forty-eight percent of poll participants believe that the United States supports Israel too much. Another 34% of respondents called the current level of support acceptable, while 8% believe that Washington does not support Israel enough.

Assessments of Trump’s performance and position on Iran
President Donald Trump’s overall job performance was approved by 33% of voters, while 59% expressed disapproval. His foreign policy was assessed positively by 33% of respondents and negatively by 60%.
Regarding the situation around Iran, 29% of respondents approved of Trump’s actions, while 65% disapproved. Thirty-nine percent supported keeping US troops in Iran during negotiations on a peace agreement. Thirty percent favored withdrawing the forces without reaching an agreement, while 22% supported intensifying military operations until Iran’s capitulation or its agreement to a deal.
On the issue of control over the House of Representatives, Democrats held an 11-percentage-point advantage: 49% of respondents preferred the Democratic Party, while 38% preferred the Republican Party.
