Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán warned of the risks to the country should he lose power ahead of the parliamentary elections.
Bloomberg reported this.
In his address, he emphasized that the country could allegedly “lose everything” that had been achieved during his years in power.
Orbán also claimed that “foreign intelligence services” were interfering in the electoral process, but provided no evidence to support these claims.
At the same time, the current election could be his toughest in the past 16 years. Polls show growing support for opposition politician Péter Magyar and his party.
Analysts note that the campaign is taking place in a much more competitive environment than before, and young people, who are increasingly supporting the opposition, could play a decisive role.
Additionally, some young voters say they are ready to leave the country in the event of another Orbán victory, underscoring the growing social tension ahead of the vote.
Recall that despite Orbán’s blocking, Ukraine will receive 90 billion: IPA President Galina Heylo on EU plans to finance the country.
Balázs Orbán, political director to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, assured that Ukraine does not pose a military threat to his country.
