Pope Leo XIV blessed another batch of ambulances for Ukraine in Spain

During his visit to Spain, Pope Leo XIV blessed a convoy of 30 humanitarian aid vehicles, which will be delivered to Ukraine in the coming days.

The pontiff blessed 21 ambulances, 9 cars, and a pickup truck in front of the entrance to the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, where 40,000 young people were waiting for him. Immediately afterward, nuns from the Spanish charity “Fundación Convento Santa Clara,” along with more than 60 drivers and a dozen volunteers, set off on their journey.

The convoy is expected to arrive in Ukraine on Friday, June 12. This trip marks the 51st humanitarian mission by the organization’s volunteers since the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022, and the total number of ambulances they have delivered, thanks to the generosity of donors, has already reached 200.

This was reported by America Magazine.

The late Pope Francis bequeathed a “significant sum of money” for the purchase of ambulances for Ukraine

A few weeks before Pope Francis’s death, the Vatican press office also reported that he had donated four ambulances to Ukraine, “equipped with all the necessary medical instruments to save lives.”
