Islamabad police say four Chinese citizens have been freed
Police in Islamabad, Pakistan, said that four Chinese citizens had been freed after being abducted for ransom, according to law enforcement. During the operation, police detained six suspects, while the alleged leader of the group managed to escape.
As Dawn reports, before the operation police detained a suspect in a case registered at the Shalimar police station. During questioning, according to law enforcement, he said that he and his accomplices had abducted four Chinese citizens in the F-10/4 area.
Raid on a farm
According to police, after the abduction, the people were taken to the Bangyal area and held at a dairy farm. The detained suspect also said that negotiations over the ransom amount were underway and agreed to show law enforcement the place where the people were being held.

Police formed a team for the raid and, after arriving, surrounded the farm. According to law enforcement, one of the people inside began firing indiscriminately at police officers, causing panic in the area. Police returned fire.
Detention of suspects
During the operation, law enforcement detained two suspects who, according to their information, were guarding the captives in an adjacent farm building. The four Chinese citizens were found in a room and placed under police protection.
Later, raid participants detained another four suspects and seized weapons from them. At the same time, according to police, the alleged leader of the group fled the scene.
