A former Polish minister wanted by the authorities has secretly left for the United States

Zbigniew Ziobro, a former Polish official who is currently a fugitive, has reportedly left Europe via an undisclosed route and traveled to the United States. According to media reports, European border control systems did not record his official departure from the Schengen Area. It is reported that he had previously been in Hungary.

This information was reported by RMF FM.

According to the radio station, there are many indications that Zbigniew Ziobro left Europe via an unofficial route. “This could not have happened through official, administrative channels; politics intervened here,” said one of the radio station’s sources.

There have also been speculations that a special operation may have taken place. The politician could have been taken to the airport in a diplomatic vehicle and then boarded a special plane without undergoing border control.

According to an RMF FM reporter, the SIS 2 system—an expanded database that facilitates police cooperation and border control—was checked. This database contains information on wanted or missing persons.

A check was also conducted in the PNR (Passenger Name Record) system, which contains all data on passengers, reservations, flight routes, and their luggage, and is used for online check-in. However, Zbigniew Ziobro was not found in these databases.

Shortly after the change of government in Poland, former Polish Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro became the subject of a series of investigations into alleged violations committed while in office. Among other things, he is accused of misusing funds from the Justice Fund, which is subordinate to the Ministry of Justice.
