Poland will join the Starlink European roaming zone
SpaceX has assured Polish authorities that Poland will be included in the European Starlink Roam roaming zone. This was announced by the country’s Minister of Digital Affairs, Krzysztof Hawkowski.
It is noted that Poland was scheduled to cease participation in the joint European Starlink Roam service region on August 17, which would have meant additional obligations for Polish users.
Following the assurance from SpaceX, Hawkowski emphasized that Polish customers will not be subject to the new restrictions.
“This is good news for Polish users; we now expect the declaration to be implemented quickly. Poles who use Starlink should be on par with users from other countries. And this was achieved thanks to my efforts and those of the entire Ministry of Digital Affairs. All that remains is to put this into practice,” Gavkowski noted.
This was reported by Polish Radio.
Earlier, Poland lodged a complaint against Starlink over its exclusion from European roaming.
In Poland, SpaceX was accused of discriminating against Starlink users.
