OnlyFans owner Leonid Radvinsky has died: what is known about him

Leonid Radvinsky, the owner of the OnlyFans platform, died at the age of 43. A native of Odessa, he emigrated to the United States as a child. He became one of the most reclusive billionaires in the tech sector, with a net worth of approximately $7.8 billion, according to Forbes.

Radvinsky was born in Odessa, but as a child he emigrated with his family to Chicago, where he taught himself programming and later studied economics at Northwestern University. While still in college, he launched his first referral service for porn sites, Cybertania, and in 2004 founded MyFreeCams—one of the world’s largest webcam streaming platforms.

The real breakthrough in his career came in 2018, when he bought 75% of OnlyFans’ shares from founder Tim Stokel and later became the sole owner of the company. Radwinski transformed the platform into a veritable “money-making machine,” changing the very model of the adult content industry: for the first time, creators were able to directly monetize subscriptions, paying the company a 20% commission.

By the end of 2024, OnlyFans’ revenue reached $1.4 billion with a staff of just 42 people serving 4.6 million creators and 377 million users. Radwinski himself has paid himself approximately $1.8 billion in dividends since 2021, and Forbes estimated his net worth at $7.8 billion. Despite the nature of his business, he avoided the public eye and rarely gave interviews, yet he was actively involved in philanthropy: in 2022, the billionaire donated $5 million to aid Ukraine and supported cancer research and animal welfare funds.

At the time of his death, the businessman was negotiating the sale of 60% of OnlyFans’ shares to the San Francisco-based investment fund Architect Capital, valuing the company at $5.5 billion. Since Radwinski transferred ownership of his assets to a trust in 2024, the future of this deal and the platform’s subsequent development strategy remain uncertain. While the global community analyzes the legacy of the Odessa-born emigrant, Ukraine continues to fight Russian aggression by implementing new defense technologies and addressing the consequences of enemy attacks on critical infrastructure.

As a reminder, Leonid Radvinsky, the owner of the OnlyFans platform, died at the age of 43.

Leonid Radvinsky, the owner of the OnlyFans service, died after a long battle with cancer. A native of Odessa who emigrated to the U.S. as a child, he became one of the most reclusive billionaires in the tech sector, with a fortune estimated at $7.8 billion by Forbes. The platform confirmed the owner’s death, the company’s deputy chairman noted in a comment to Western media on March 23, 2026.

Radwinski acquired OnlyFans in 2018 and transformed the platform into a global cultural phenomenon, revolutionizing the monetization model for adult content. Under his leadership, the company reached $1.4 billion in revenue in 2024, serving over 377 million users. Beyond business, the billionaire was known for his philanthropic work: in 2022, he donated $5 million to aid Ukraine and supported cancer research and animal welfare organizations.

At the time of the owner’s death, the company’s future remains uncertain, as negotiations were ongoing to sell a 60% stake to the investment fund Architect Capital at a valuation of $5.5 billion. Radvinsky had previously transferred ownership of his assets to a trust, which could influence the platform’s future strategy. While the global tech community discusses Radwinski’s legacy, Ukraine continues to strengthen its defenses with the latest Strila interceptor drones and combat the economic challenges posed by Russian aggression. Period.
