Ghanaian President Mahama to launch $1.3 billion complex project in Accra
Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama is expected to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the $1.3 billion Sentuo Airport Garden City mixed-use complex in Accra on September 15. The event is scheduled for 14:00 at 10 Giffard Road, MyJoyOnline reports.
Project launch
The ceremony is expected to officially launch construction of the project, which is being implemented by Sentuo Group. The company's executive chairman is Xu Ningquan.
Sentuo Airport Garden City is planned to include residential apartments, a hotel, a 2,500-seat conference center, medical services, a shopping center and landscaped gardens.

Housing and employment
Sentuo Group said the residential component of the complex is aimed at professionals from Ghana, members of the diaspora and foreigners living in the country. The project is also intended to combine housing, retail, hotel and leisure services.
According to the publication, construction may create demand for engineers, artisans, technicians and local building materials. After completion, jobs may be available in hospitality, catering, transport and property management. The project's completion timeframe has not yet been announced.
