Xi Jinping calls on BRICS to promote peace in the Middle East
Chinese President Xi Jinping, speaking at the BRICS summit in New Delhi, India, called on the group’s countries to play their “due role” in establishing peace in the Middle East. He also said that member states should stand on the right side of history.

The Chinese leader addressed summit participants in the Indian capital. He called on leaders of major emerging market countries to help achieve peace in the region.

According to China’s state-run Xinhua news agency, cited by the publication, Xi Jinping said that the war in the Middle East had caused serious losses to people throughout the region.
