Xi Jinping made a sensational statement regarding the takeover of Taiwan
During celebrations marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Chinese leader Xi Jinping stated that Beijing will continue its course toward building a modern socialist state and will seek “reunification” with Taiwan.
In his speech, Xi called resolving the “Taiwan issue” the Communist Party’s historic mission and called for resolute opposition to the island’s independence advocates and any external interference.
The Chinese leader also emphasized the need to intensify the fight against corruption within the party and called on its members to remain committed to their mission. According to him, the Communist Party must continue to modernize the country and transform China into a modern socialist state by the middle of the 21st century.
Currently, the Communist Party of China has over 101 million members and remains one of the largest political forces in the world.
