Sybiga commented on Hungary's decision regarding Ukrainian cash collectors

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga welcomed Hungary’s decision to revoke the deportation order and the three-year ban on entry into the Schengen Area for seven cash-in-transit employees of Oschadbank. He described Budapest’s move as constructive and conducive to resolving the situation.

He wrote about this on the X platform.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry emphasized that this move by Budapest draws a “clear line” between the former and current Hungarian governments, as well as a line “between lawlessness and the rule of law.”

Sybiga expressed gratitude to his Hungarian counterpart, Anita Orbán, for her position ahead of the upcoming consultations between Ukraine and Hungary regarding the rights of the Hungarian minority in Zakarpattia. The minister also expressed hope that this meeting would be fruitful.

Ukraine and Hungary have agreedon a new round of negotiations.

Earlier, the Hungarian government commented on the massive attack by Russian drones on Transcarpathia, during which the region’s critical infrastructure was struck. Budapest described the situation in the border region as extremely alarming and announced that it was preparing urgent countermeasures.

Transcarpathiahas suffered the most massive attack by Russia since the start of the war — Regional Military Administration.
