Neria Leiter, the son of Israel’s ambassador to the United States, Yehiel Leiter, was seriously wounded after being struck by a vehicle at a checkpoint in the West Bank. According to his father and the Israeli military, Neria is a reservist in the Israel Defense Forces and is receiving treatment at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.

Yehiel Leiter said on social media that medical workers are fighting for his son’s life and thanked the military, doctors and people praying for Neria. According to him, his son needs a “miracle.”
Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces reported a vehicle-ramming attack at a checkpoint in the area of responsibility of the Binyamin Brigade, which operates in the central part of the West Bank. According to the military, the incident occurred near the Maccabim checkpoint, west of Ramallah. The army also said that the person who carried out the attack was eliminated by security forces.
