US restricts official travel to Nogales, Mexico, over threat
The United States has restricted official activities and travel by US officials to the Mexican border city of Nogales. Only essential travel during daylight hours remains permitted due to information about an unspecified threat.
Warning for US citizens
The US Mission in Mexico said it was informing US citizens about the threat and the change in operating procedures. Americans were urged to exercise increased caution, remain aware of their surroundings, seek shelter in the event of an incident, and follow instructions from Mexican law enforcement authorities.
