The U.S. struck a drug-smuggling vessel in the Pacific Ocean
The U.S. military carried out a strike against a vessel involved in drug trafficking in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Four people were killed in the operation.
This was reported by U.S. Southern Command.
It is noted that the strike was carried out by the combined task force “Southern Spear.” According to the U.S. military, the vessel was operating within the framework of groups recognized by the United States as terrorist organizations.
“Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was traveling along known drug trafficking routes in the eastern Pacific Ocean and was involved in illicit drug trafficking operations. As a result of this operation, four male drug traffickers linked to terrorist activities were neutralized,” the statement said.

The U.S. Southern Command added that no U.S. service members were injured during the operation.
Earlier, the U.S. military attacked a vessel in the Caribbean Sea that, according to U.S. authorities, was transporting drugs. Three people were killed as a result of the operation.
