Trump calls Lukashenko a "good friend" and is planning his visit to the U.S.
John Cole, the U.S. President’s Special Representative for Belarus, has arrived in Minsk to discuss a possible visit by self-proclaimed President Alexander Lukashenko to the United States. According to reports, the U.S. side considers the Belarusian leader’s views on the situation in Iran to be “valuable.”

"We discussed a possible trip by President Lukashenko to the U.S. and will work to organize it. President Trump (U.S. President Donald Trump, ed.) constantly refers to President Lukashenko as his good friend, a respected world leader," Cole emphasized.
Trump’s special representative added that he discussed with the Belarusian dictator what he thinks about the conflict in the Middle East and how it might be resolved.
"It is always very valuable to hear the opinion of the President of Belarus. Because it is a completely different perspective compared to what we might hear in the West. This is very valuable to us. I will definitely convey everything we discussed here today to the U.S.," Cole emphasized.
Naudes advised theU.S. envoy to be wary of getting too close to Lukashenko.
Lukashenkomet with the U.S. delegation and hinted that they are waging war against his friends.
Earlier, Belarus’s self-proclaimed president, Alexander Lukashenko, threatened Ukraine and NATO countries with the use of the “Oreshnik” medium-range ballistic missile.
Earlier, the U.S. and Lukashenko agreedon the release of more than 250 Belarusian political prisoners.
Belarusian dictator Lukashenko pardoned 123 prisoners, including Belarusian opposition figure Maria Kolesnikova and human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Ales Bialiatski.
