US President Donald Trump said he must make an important decision regarding Iran amid the US war in the country. In an interview with Axios, he said he is considering whether to pursue the annihilation of the Iranian regime. The Hill reports.

Trump's statement came after reports of a meeting planned for next week between the US president and the leaders of six Persian Gulf states on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

According to The Hill, the conflict has also affected energy prices in the United States. Over four days this week, the average gasoline price in the country rose from $4.31 to $4.43 per gallon, according to data from the American Automobile Association, AAA. The average price of diesel fuel increased by 42 cents over the past week.
