Trump said he trusts Xi and Putin regarding arms sales to Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he trusts the assurances given by Chinese leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin—the leader of the aggressor state—that they will not sell weapons to Iran.

According to “European Truth,” Trump wrote on Truth Social that during a recent meeting in Beijing, Xi assured him that China would under no circumstances provide or sell weapons to the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to the U.S. president, this also applies to Chinese companies.

“Given our relationship, I take his word for it, and besides, I’m also doing him a huge favor,” Trump wrote about Xi.

He also stated that Putin, despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, told him that he would not sell weapons to Iran. Trump added that China and Russia are two major countries often mentioned in the context of Iran, but, in his view, they are not involved in this. The U.S. president noted that such involvement would not be in their interests.
