Trump denied supporting Vance as the next U.S. presidential candidate
U.S. President Donald Trump said it is too early to decide on the Republican Party’s next presidential candidate.
He made these remarks in response to reports in the American media about alleged recommendations to party donors to support the candidacy of U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance.
Responding to questions from reporters at the White House, Trump said:
“It’s too early to think about that right now,” said the U.S. president.
Thus, Trump did not confirm reports of possible support for Vance as the Republican Party’s future nominee.
Earlier, U.S. media reported that Trump allegedly told Republican Party donors that they should prepare to support the candidacy of J.D. Vance, who currently serves as U.S. Vice President.
At the same time, Trump himself has distanced himself from such statements, emphasizing that it is still too early to talk about the next presidential candidate.
He made these remarks to reporters at the White House.
