A Ukrainian drone crashed in Bulgaria — Ministry of Defense
The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense stated that the drone that exploded near the compressor station of the Trans-Balkan gas pipeline was likely of Ukrainian manufacture.
According to the ministry, a preliminary analysis of the debris indicates that it was most likely a “Maya” decoy drone.
The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense noted that drones of this type are widely used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
At the same time, the ministry emphasized that there is currently no reason to believe the incident was intentional.

On the morning of August 8 in Bulgaria, a drone that entered the country’s airspace from the north exploded near the border with Romania. According to Deutsche Welle, the incident occurred in a sunflower field 100 meters from the border.
