In Karachi, Pakistan, a mob burned two dump trucks after a traffic accident that killed 13-year-old motorcyclist Hamza Farooq. The accident occurred late Sunday evening in the Korangi-6 area, Dawn reports.
Accident circumstances
According to a traffic police representative, the accident occurred at around 11:30 p.m. Preliminary information indicates that the dump truck driver was allegedly driving recklessly and at excessive speed.
The dump truck hit the motorcycle from behind and ran over the boy. The victim's body was taken to Jinnah Hospital for forensic procedures.

Local residents seized dump truck driver Kamal Gul and beat him before Zaman Town police arrived. Law enforcement officers detained the driver.
Arson of dump trucks
Afterwards, the mob set fire to the dump truck driven by the detained man. Later, people stopped another dump truck passing through the area and also set it on fire.
Police rescued the driver of the second dump truck, Abdul Rahim. Zaman Town police station chief Ayaz Khan told Dawn that police had registered an FIR under several sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including those concerning unintentional killing, reckless driving and property damage.
