A fire broke out at a restaurant in a five-storey building in Limassol, Cyprus, after grease deposits accumulated inside the chimneys caught fire. This was reported by Cyprus Mail, citing the fire service.
Four fire engines deployed to extinguish the blaze
Limassol fire service units arrived at the scene at 9:27 a.m. Four fire engines and a hydraulic telescopic platform were dispatched. The fire was brought under control at 11:30 a.m.

Chimneys and rooftop equipment damaged
The chimneys sustained significant damage as a result of the fire. High temperatures also damaged rooftop equipment and external installations. The building's paint coating and the electrical installation in the restaurant's dining area were partially affected.
At the time of the fire, an employee of the establishment was inside preparing for the start of the working day. He noticed the fire and safely left the building. Overall, on Thursday and Friday morning, Cyprus Fire Service responded to 41 calls, including 19 fires, 19 special assistance incidents and three false alarms.
