Mexico presents series of six well-being reports — Mexico News Daily
In Mexico, Mexico News Daily has presented a series of six reports on the well-being of the population. The project is intended to examine the country’s situation not only through economic indicators, but also through dozens of non-economic criteria.
The editorial team noted that the development of countries is often assessed by GDP growth rates, inflation, productivity and investment volumes. At the same time, such data alone do not provide a complete picture of people’s well-being.
Indicators beyond the economy
The MND Mexico Well-being Series will analyze Mexico’s current situation across various components of well-being, changes over the past decade, and the country’s position compared with other nations around the world. The publication said it aims to provide a fact-based analysis without political bias.

Previously, Mexico News Daily created the monthly MND Sheinbaum Index, MND Mexico Economic Index and MND Peso Index. According to the editorial team, they were intended to help readers better understand the overall state of the economy, but focused mainly on economic data.
The first report on health
The first part of the series was the “Health and Healthcare” report, published earlier this week. In upcoming materials, the publication plans to examine education, poverty, happiness and gender equality.
The editorial team is also preparing shorter Mexico in Numbers visual materials for each of these topics. Mexico News Daily CEO Travis Bembenek said the publication also plans to separately explore cultural factors of well-being that are more difficult to measure using statistical data.
