Moldova's Ministry of Defense explained why the radars did not detect the Russian Shahed

Moldovan Defense Minister Anatoliy Nosaty explained why radar systems failed to detect the Russian “Shahed” drone that crashed in the village of Kopanka, Kaushany District, on the night of July 13. According to him, the drone was flying at too low an altitude, which is why the National Army’s radars were unable to detect it.

As the minister noted, the radars failed to detect the drone due to its low altitude.

“The radars did not detect this drone because it was flying at a low altitude and was in an area that did not provide the necessary visibility,” he said.

Realitatea reports on the statement by the head of Moldova’s defense ministry.

Sandu responded to a question about whether Moldova could forcibly reclaim Transnistria.

As a reminder, the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned its citizens about heightened checks, hours-long interrogations, and instances of coercion to sign contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense when attempting to enter Russian territory.

Moldova wants to use peaceful negotiations with Russia to reclaim Transnistria.
