In Nigeria, Uba Sani appoints three commissioners and 45 aides
In Nigeria, Governor Uba Sani has appointed three new commissioners, 45 aides and 40 members of various boards. As Premium Times Nigeria reports, these personnel decisions are intended to support the implementation of his administration’s development programme and institutional reforms.
A statement by Chief Press Secretary Ibrahim Musa said that the newly appointed officials are expected to help implement the administration’s transformational agenda, improve public service delivery and promote sustainable economic growth.
New commissioners
Ben Kure, managing director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation, was appointed Commissioner for Sports Development. Amina Akilu Dalhat will serve as Commissioner for Special Duties I, while Abdullahi Garba Abbas will serve as Commissioner for Special Duties II.
Dr Haliru Soba, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Education, was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration.

Appointments to boards
Sani also appointed chairpersons and members of key boards. Alhaji Munir Jaafaru will head the Kaduna State Health Board, while Air Vice Marshal Bashir Gamagira Saidu will head the Kaduna State Vigilance Service Board.
Other board chairpersons include retired Justice Gideon Isa Kurada, who will head the College of Education in Gidan-Waya; Esther Bago, appointed chairperson of the Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development; Dr Yusuf Aliyu Bature, chairperson of the Kaduna State Hospital Supplies Management Agency; and Namadi Musa, chairperson of the Kaduna State Rural Access Roads Authority.
According to the press secretary, the governor said the candidates were selected based on their experience, integrity and commitment to duty. He urged the newly appointed officials to offer new approaches, avoid complacency and work in line with his vision of a transformed and resilient state.
