Three men were arrested in Germany on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack — DW
In the cities of Unna and Hagen in western Germany, special forces detained a German citizen and two Syrian citizens. They are suspected of planning a terrorist attack.
The operation was carried out on October 1 in cooperation with the state criminal police department. The detained German is 33 years old, and the Syrians are 20 and 24 years old.
Law enforcement officials have not yet disclosed the possible target or method of the attack. Investigators are determining the motives and other circumstances of the case.
According to dpa, the men are suspected of having ties to the terrorist organization “Islamic State.” According to Bild, they may have discussed a possible attack involving weapons online.
