19-year-old man detained in Paphos after dangerous manoeuvres — Cyprus Mail
In Paphos, Cyprus, police detained a 19-year-old man following a car chase involving a driver who, according to law enforcement, performed dangerous manoeuvres and put other road users at risk. This was reported by Cyprus Mail.
Car chase
According to police, at around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, officers noticed a car repeatedly making dangerous manoeuvres and skidding. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver accelerated, after which a chase began.
Later, the car drove onto a dead-end street. The driver and two passengers left the vehicle with its engine running and fled on foot.

Search and court decision
During a subsequent search of the car, police found items which, they said, could have been used to facilitate burglary.
Further investigative actions led law enforcement officers to a 19-year-old resident of Paphos, who was detained at around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday. On the same day, he appeared before a court, which remanded him in custody for two days. The investigation is ongoing.
