A military helicopter crashed in Pakistan; all crew members were killed
A military Mi-17 transport helicopter belonging to the Pakistani Army Aviation crashed in Pakistan. According to preliminary reports, everyone on board was killed in the crash.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Armed Forces, the crash occurred during takeoff near the city of Muzaffarabad.
The ISPR statement notes that the incident is preliminarily believed to have been caused by a technical malfunction. Everyone on board was killed. Rescue services and search teams immediately arrived at the crash site.
Pakistan’s military leadership expressed condolences to the families of the victims and announced the formation of an investigative commission to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the crash.
