On March 15–16, the sixth round of trade negotiations between the United States and China took place in Paris. The Chinese delegation was led by Vice Premier He Lifeng, while the US side was headed by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessette. The talks focused on tariff and non-tariff measures, as well as investment cooperation.

Both sides reached preliminary agreements on several issues and agreed to continue discussions. A key topic was the potential expansion of Chinese purchases of US agricultural products, including poultry, beef, and grains.

The delegations also discussed establishing new formal mechanisms to protect trade and investment between the two countries, which could contribute to greater economic stability.

Analysts note that the negotiations reflect a mutual willingness to reduce trade tensions and restore cooperation, paving the way for further development of bilateral economic relations.
