In South Korea, farmers treated a bus driver to their harvest — Korea Herald

In Yeongdeok County, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, two elderly farmers took turns stopping a rural bus to give the driver pears and eggplants they had grown. A video of these episodes, posted on Instagram on September 17, became popular in the country, Korea Herald reports.

Pears from the field

In the footage, the bus is traveling along a narrow rural road when an elderly man waiting by the roadside signals for the driver to stop. He gets on the bus and gives the driver pears he harvested. The man also offered the driver a taste before returning to the field.

Eggplants for the driver

Soon afterward, the same bus was stopped by another elderly man. He gave the driver eggplants he had grown himself and suggested using them as a side dish. These brief encounters drew the attention of social media users. One commenter called it touching that the farmers waited for the bus to share their harvest with the driver. Another suggested that the driver treats the farmers well and that they see him as a son.
