In Poland, up to 200,000 people may be sent to military training in 2027

In Poland, up to 200,000 people may be called up for reservist military training in 2027. The corresponding call-up limits are set forth in a draft resolution of the country’s Council of Ministers.

According to the document, Poland’s Ministry of National Defense also plans to increase the maximum number of individuals recruited for professional military service to 20,000, which is 6,500 more than in 2026. In addition, it is proposed to call up to 8,700 people into the active reserve, up to 35,000 into voluntary basic military service, and up to 40,000 into the territorial military service.

Under Polish law, reservists may undergo one-day, short-term, or long-term military training or drills on a rotational basis, the duration of which, depending on the type of training, can be up to 90 consecutive days.

This is stated in a draft resolution of the Polish government, according to “Ukrinform,” citing RMF24.

In the Baltic Sea, near the beach in the village of Rusinowo, close to Jarosławiec, Polish military personnel discovered a drone. The drone was retrieved from the water and taken for further examination. According to a preliminary assessment by the Polish military, it is of Russian origin and is a military-grade drone. Experts attempted to examine the device using an X-ray, but its casing does not allow the rays to pass through. The military is now looking for another way to examine the interior and wants to keep the drone intact.
