Seuta is preparing accommodations for at least 862 migrant minors
Authorities in the Spanish city of Ceuta, on the African coast, are preparing additional accommodations for at least 862 unaccompanied migrant minors. They remained in the city following a large-scale influx of people from Morocco, according to “European Truth,” citing El País.
Local authorities are working to quickly expand existing capacity to house children who were not deported following last week’s wave of mass migrant arrivals. They plan to complete the preparation of the additional facilities within a few days.

The actual number of minors in need of shelter and support may be higher. It is believed that some of the children may still be hiding on the streets, and the total number of migrant minors in Ceuta could exceed 1,000.
Last week, about 50,000 people seeking to enter Europe arrived in Ceuta over the course of a few days. Most of them were returned to Morocco, while, according to the publication, no more than 5,000 people remained in the city.
