Three people died in Shijiazhuang after a partial collapse of a residential building

In the Chinese city of Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, three people were killed after a partial collapse of a four-story residential building located in northern China. According to ECNS, citing the Xinhua District Emergency Management Bureau, the incident occurred at 5:42 a.m. on Wednesday.

Four people from two households were trapped under the rubble. Three of them died in the hospital despite receiving emergency medical care. Another person is receiving medical treatment, and their condition is reported to be stable.

Five residents who lived nearby and sought medical attention were examined at the hospital and subsequently discharged.

Search and rescue operations at the scene have been completed. According to a preliminary assessment by the Emergency Situations Bureau, a gas leak may have caused an explosion, resulting in the collapse of part of the building. Residents of this building and nearby homes have been evacuated. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
