Four people killed in Louisiana after series of stabbings
In the city of Houma, Louisiana, United States, at least four people were killed in a series of stabbings. Another minor is in critical condition in hospital. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office said that 47-year-old Kegan Jude Solet, who was considered a person of interest in the investigation, was taken into custody.
Injured person airlifted by helicopter
According to The Guardian World, sheriff's deputies first arrived in the Ashland Drive area of Houma, where they found a minor with apparent stab wounds. The victim was airlifted by helicopter to a hospital outside the area. Their condition is assessed as critical.
During the subsequent investigation, law enforcement officers found the bodies of four people in a nearby house. Detectives continue to collect evidence and establish the circumstances of the incidents.

Previous case from 2019
Solet was previously arrested in connection with a stabbing in Houma in 2019. According to Houma police, following an argument at a hotel, he allegedly stabbed a 59-year-old woman multiple times in the upper body and head. The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
At the time, Solet was taken into custody on one charge of attempted second-degree murder. The 2019 case is not connected to the current investigation. Authorities have not reported filing charges against Solet in the current case.
