Back-to-school goods fair concludes in Accra
The two-day Joy FM Back-to-School Discount Fair 2026 has concluded in Accra, the capital of Ghana, where families could purchase goods to prepare children for the 2026/2027 school year. The event took place on September 4 and 5 in the Joy FM parking lot in the Kokomlemle area, MyJoyOnline reports.
Goods for education and household needs
The fair featured school supplies, learning materials, clothing, footwear, electronics, hygiene products, food and other household goods. Participants included bookstores, publishing houses and suppliers of educational products, including Kingdom Books & Stationery Limited, Paddington Publications Limited, SalJay Bookshop, Afram Publications Ghana Limited and Challenge Bookshop.
Prestige Children’s Palace and BeGerts Kids offered children’s clothing, footwear and accessories. Flow Glow Impact presented hygiene products, Zonzoom Limited offered food products, and Unilever Ghana Limited presented products from the Pepsodent, Lipton, Royco and Blue Band brands.

Discounts on electronics and educational services
The event’s main sponsor was Compu Ghana, which also operated as a vendor. The retailer offered discounts of up to 40% on selected electronic devices and household appliances, including laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, routers, headphones, power banks and small refrigerators. The promotional offer on selected goods will remain valid until September 20.
The Shsonline.com platform presented virtual academic courses and supplementary learning programs. Sonrise Christian High School spoke with parents and prospective students and offered the opportunity to enroll directly during the fair. Visitors compared goods and prices at the stands, while parents noted the convenience of purchasing several needed product categories in one place.
