St Peter’s School alumni in Ghana begin preparations for 70th anniversary — MyJoyOnline
In Ghana, alumni of St Peter’s Senior High School held the sporting event “Run to 70 – Every Step Counts,” launching preparations for the institution’s 70th anniversary in 2027. According to MyJoyOnline, participants gathered at the University of Ghana on September 19, where they walked, jogged and performed aerobic exercises.

Members of the St Peter’s Old Boys Association and other representatives of the PERSCO community took part in the event. The event had more than just a sporting purpose: former students had an opportunity to meet, reconnect and strengthen ties within the community.
David Adade Boafo, the global president of the St Peter’s Old Boys Association, said the initiative is intended to unite alumni and build momentum for future anniversary events. Engineer Patrick Okoto, chair of the 70th anniversary planning committee, called the event the start of a year-long programme dedicated to the anniversary.

Anniversary programme
The celebration plan includes the official launch of the programme in October, a major alumni gathering in December, and Founders’ Day events in February 2027. The culmination is expected to be a week-long programme in October 2027.
The association also plans to carry out an anniversary project for the school: expanding the dining hall and upgrading the kitchen and pantry.
