The authorities in Ceuta are preparing facilities to house nearly 900 migrant minors

The municipal authorities of the Spanish enclave of Ceuta on the North African coast are expanding their network of shelters to accommodate at least 862 unaccompanied migrant minors. These children remained in the city following a large-scale wave of migration from Morocco, while most adult migrants have already returned.

The actual number of minors in need of shelter may exceed 1,000, as some of them are still hiding on the streets. The setup of additional facilities and temporary shelters is expected to be completed within the next few days.
