Polish deputy defense minister says 50 saboteurs are in prison — RMF24
In Poland, Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk said that 50 people whom he called saboteurs are in prisons and that, according to him, they were detained by the security services. The official said this on TVP Info, RMF24 reports.
Statement amid a dispute with the president
Tomczyk stressed that the threat to state security is real and manifests itself every day. His statement came after Polish President Karol Nawrocki, on the same day, accused Prime Minister Donald Tusk of spreading fear and using substitute propaganda to divert attention from the country’s financial problems.
The deputy defense minister criticized this position. According to him, denying information provided by Polish and foreign intelligence services, including the CIA, is irresponsible. He also linked this approach to the president, his advisers, and the opposition Law and Justice party.

Incident near Dorohusk
Tomczyk also said that border crossings are evacuated every few days due to the threat of missile attacks, mentioning the situation in Dorohusk. On Monday, during a Russian strike on Ukraine, Poland’s Government Security Centre sent out warnings about a possible air threat in the Lublin Voivodeship.
Polish airspace was not violated at that time. At the same time, a drone struck near the Dorohusk–Yahodyn Polish-Ukrainian border crossing on the Ukrainian side of the border. Later, Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz reported that a jet-powered drone struck approximately two kilometers from the border crossing in Dorohusk.
