General Andriy Biletsky was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine
On the 35th anniversary, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Brigadier General Andriy Biletsky the title of Hero of Ukraine.
The corresponding decree by the head of state has been published on the website of the Office of the President.
“For personal courage and heroism demonstrated in defending Ukraine’s state sovereignty and territorial integrity, and for selfless service to the Ukrainian people, I hereby decree: To confer the title of Hero of Ukraine, along with the Order of the “Golden Star,” upon Andriy Yevhenovych BILETSKYI—Brigadier General,” the document states.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to the late search and rescue worker Yukov.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Lieutenant General Andriy Hnatov the title of Hero of Ukraine. The head of state signed the corresponding decree on August 21.
Commander Vladislav Polsky was also awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine for rescuing two seriously wounded soldiers.
