In the Perm Region, a student attacked a teacher with a knife; she died
In the town of Dobryanka in the Perm Krai, a ninth-grader attacked a teacher with a knife near the entrance to School No. 5.
The incident was reported by the region’s governor, Dmitry Makhonin, citing Russian propaganda media.
The victim was hospitalized, but efforts to save her were unsuccessful—she died from her injuries. The victim was identified as Olesya Baguta, a Russian language and literature teacher.
The reasons for the attack are currently unknown. The teenager was detained by law enforcement; his motives are being investigated.
Telegram channels and other sources report that the victim was a 55-year-old Russian language and literature teacher who served as the teenager’s homeroom teacher. It is claimed that he harbored a “personal grudge” against her.
The head of the municipal district, Dmytro Antonov, notes that the ninth-grader is on police record and has been held back for remedial classes on multiple occasions.
