The head of KOVA provided an interim update on construction in Irpin and Borodianka
During a regular meeting of the “Transparency and Accountability” working group, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration presented interim results of construction projects in the communities of Irpin and Borodianka and announced the termination of contracts with several unscrupulous contractors.

The meeting was held with a focus on maximum transparency, strict oversight, and personal accountability for each project. According to the head of the administration, “where there are results and accountability, work continues; where contractors ignore deadlines and requirements, contracts are terminated.”
In Irpin, work has effectively stopped on the high-rise building on Gostomel Highway and the construction of the kindergarten at 37a Ostromyrska Street, and workers are absent. In these cases, a decision was made to terminate the contracts with mandatory repayment of advance funds. The contract with the contractor for the Kopyliv Lyceum has also been terminated due to critically slow work progress and unacceptable organization of subcontracting processes.
Positive progress is being observed at the “Veselka” kindergarten site in Hostomel and the construction site at 427-A Tsentralna Street in Borodianka. Contractors have stepped up their work, increased the number of workers, and are meeting the established deadlines.
Regarding local roads, one contractor lost the contract due to systematic failure to meet the terms, while another is operating under daily quality control and deadline monitoring.
The head of KOVA emphasized that “all unscrupulous contractors will face legal action for failing to fulfill their contractual obligations.” Oversight of construction projects will remain under constant personal monitoring.
As a reminder, McDonald’s Ukraine opened its first restaurant in Irpin, Kyiv Oblast. The establishment became the chain’s 123rd operating restaurant in Ukraine, the company’s press service reported.
