Kyiv police officers prevented a man from jumping off the roof of a five-story building
In Kyiv, law enforcement officers prevented a tragedy and rescued a 33-year-old man who was attempting to jump from the roof of a five-story building near Independence Square. Negotiations with him lasted several hours, after which the man was successfully brought to safety.
Officers from Special Police Regiment No. 1, a KORD negotiator, a Kyiv police psychologist, and rescuers from the State Emergency Service quickly arrived at the scene. A KORD specialist established contact with the man and convinced him to step away from the edge, while the psychologist helped maintain emotional contact and special forces officers ensured security at the scene.
