The Zhovten Movie Theater in Kyiv has changed its operating procedures during air raid alerts

The “Zhovten” cinema in Kyiv has updated its protocol for responding to air raid alerts. Now, the venue’s procedures and ticket policies depend on the alert level.

During a “yellow” alert level, the screening continues. Audience members decide for themselves whether to stay in the theater. Those who wish to leave are advised to speak with an usher—they will be given a promo code to watch the rest of the movie later.

If a “red” alert level is declared in Kyiv, the movie theater suspends operations. If such an alert lasts more than 20 minutes, the screening is canceled entirely.

In this case, e-tickets will automatically be refunded in the form of promo codes sent to the email address provided at the time of purchase. Holders of paper tickets will be able to exchange them at the box office.

In addition, due to the security situation, “Zhovten” has temporarily changed its daily operating hours. Starting September 11, the movie theater opens at 11:30 a.m., and the first screenings begin at noon. The café is also open from 12:00 p.m., except on Monday, September 14, when it will be closed.

The cinema is located in Podil at 26 Kostyantynivska Street, near the “Kontraktova Ploshcha” metro station.
