Klitschko asked the police to investigate the conflict involving the Municipal Security Service in Teremky
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has appealed to the police regarding the events of September 22 in Teremky. He is asking for a legal assessment of the actions of those involved in the conflict, particularly the employees of “Municipal Security.”
“I have appealed to law enforcement agencies—the police—to provide a legal assessment of the events that took place on September 22 in Teremky. In particular, the actions of Municipal Security employees,” the mayor said.
Klitschko added that the Department of Municipal Security of the Kyiv City State Administration should also conduct an internal investigation into the “Municipal Security” agency.
The Kyiv City State Administration confirmed that Municipal Security personnel were pulling people away from construction equipment in Teremky.
As a reminder, in Teremky, police are clearing a path for a heating pipeline by cutting down 100-year-old oak trees.
Also in the Teremky neighborhood, Kyiv’s Municipal Security force forcibly dragged protesters away.
Against this backdrop, Kyivteploenergo denies that trees are being cut down in the Teremky neighborhood.
