Traffic on the South Bridge in Kyiv will be restricted for several days

Traffic on the South Bridge in Kyiv will be partially restricted due to road resurfacing work. The restrictions will be in effect from 2:00 p.m. on September 15 until 7:00 p.m. on September 18 on the overpass heading toward Korchuvate, that is, from the left bank to the right bank.

Traffic on the South Bridge in Kyiv will be partially restricted for several days. The reason is repairs to the asphalt concrete pavement on the overpass. The restrictions will take effect at 2:00 p.m. on September 15 and will last until 7:00 p.m. on September 18. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.

Repairs will be carried out on the overpass in the direction of Korchuvate—from the left bank of the Dnipro to the right. Specialists from the municipal enterprise “Kyivavtoshlyakhmist” will repair damaged sections of the road surface. The bridge will not be completely closed during the work. The restrictions will apply only to part of the roadway.

Repairs will be carried out in the first lane. During this time, traffic will be able to use the far-left lane. The Kyiv City State Administration urges drivers to take these temporary changes into account when planning their routes. Due to the narrowed passage on the bridge, travel time may increase, especially during peak hours.

Once the repairs are complete, traffic on the South Bridge is expected to resume as usual. The work is being carried out to restore the asphalt concrete pavement on the overpass. Drivers planning a trip from the left bank to the right bank in this direction should take these restrictions into account in advance and, if possible, choose an alternative route. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.

As a reminder, the police have warned Ukrainians about fake traffic violation fines.

Fines for speeding will increase sharply in Ukraine.

Over the past year, the number of reserved workers in Ukraine has increased significantly—by approximately 300,000 people—and the number of enterprises recognized as critically important to the economy has also grown. The government attributes these changes to the expansion of the “reservation” mechanisms, particularly for frontline regions, and is preparing to update the regulations.
