Rescuers saved a dog from a deep pit near Kyiv

In the village of Mila in the Bucha District, rescue workers pulled a dog out of a deep pit where it had been trapped for about a day and a half.

The dog became trapped while the aftermath of an enemy attack was being cleared. Specialists from the Special-Purpose Emergency Rescue Unit in Bila Tserkva were alerted to the situation.

Rescuers carefully descended into the pit and pulled the animal to the surface. The dog was found to be safe and sound and was subsequently returned to its owners.

Local residents had been worried about the animal’s rescue for a day and a half.

Earlier, “Nova Poshta” reconsidered its decision to fire employees involved in the incident with a stray dog in Sloviansk. The company stated that the employees would remain on the job, and that the incident served as a reason to review the rules for treating animals at its branches.

On August 7, “Nova Poshta” reported that it had found a dog that employees at one of its branches had chased out onto the street during a heat wave. The company responded to the situation after the story gained widespread attention.
