Switzerland will join efforts to restore the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, which was damaged by a Russian strike on June 15.

This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a conversation with journalists.

According to the head of state, the relevant agreement was reached during his meeting with the President of Switzerland on the eve of the G7 summit.

Zelenskyy noted that the restoration work will be carried out jointly by Swiss and Ukrainian specialists. The president also expressed his gratitude to Switzerland for its support and initiative to preserve one of Ukraine’s most important historical and spiritual landmarks.

As a reminder, Russia attacked the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, causing a fire.

Prior to this, Russian drones struck the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in injuries.

Five State Emergency Service rescuers were killed as a result of the Russian attack on Kharkiv.
