The Lukyanivska Metro Station in Kyiv has resumed operations following the Russian attack
The Lukyanivska metro station has reopened to passengers following an overnight Russian shelling. The Kyiv Metro is currently operating as usual, while cleanup efforts from the attack are underway nearby.
The station had to be closed this morning due to damage to the above-ground entrance caused by the blast wave. During this time, trains on the Syretsko-Pecherska (“green”) line passed through Lukyanivska without stopping.

On the night of July 18–19, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv. One person was killed and eight others were injured as a result of the attack. Damage and fires were reported in five districts of the capital.
On July 17, Russian forces launched strikes on Kharkiv and 29 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. Two people were killed and 18 others were injured in the shelling; among the victims were five children.
Throughout the day on July 17, the Chernihiv region came under attack from enemy drones. Fires broke out in several districts at once, but Ukrainian rescue workers have already extinguished them.
